BEGIN
I first encountered photography as a child, looking at my father's black and white photographs of his portraits. I was so intrigued by the pieces of paper that I wanted to learn how to do it too. I was given a Russian "SMENA" camera by my aunt when I was ten years old . The beginning was hard - lots of controls to adjust aperture, distance and time. The first black and white photos were more a work of chance than a well thought out photo. I had no one to advise me, so I soon gave it up.
I didn't get back into photography until I was an adult. It wasn't a great art. I devoted myself to family portraits on black-and-white and later colour film. A major turning point was the autumn shoot of the Rýchorský průže with a group of photographers from Hradec Králové in October 2004. At that time I had no camera, I went with them only as an escort. When we were there, my friend handed me an Olympus digital camera and said: "Set your aperture priority and shoot!" My first real photographs were taken.
PHOTOS
I bought my own digital camera "Minolta" and the thorny road to take the best photo began. I devoted myself to landscape photography. A whole new world opened up before me - more colourful, full of new shapes. With enthusiasm I set about creating different shots. I registered on Photopost, a photography website, where I started to publish my photos. Gradually my enthusiasm turned into frustration. Above all, I lacked experience and quickly realized that I was far from perfect.
I didn't give up and started to study the technique and the way of shooting more. I read a lot of articles and tried a lot of tutorials. I had an incredible struggle with camera settings, photo editing and myself. Later I got a "NIKON" SLR camera and eventually replaced the kit lenses with various other lenses. From the components (body, lenses, bag, tripod, card...) I assembled an average photo kit for an amateur and again came the learning how to use the new equipment. The self-study was challenging. I made a lot of mistakes. I visited many photography courses and finally I visited the photography school at FotoInstitut in Prague. There, taking pictures took on a whole new meaning.
I like to walk in the mountains and visit new landscapes unknown to me. I combined my hiking hobby with my passion for photography. When I travel, I plan my photography more with the position of the sun and the state of the landscape in mind. I have also added night landscape photography to my shoots.
I'm trying to record the character of the landscape and the people who who live there. I want to share some of the images with you.
